Stitch launches LinkPay platform to aid efficient and secure online payments

Stitch, a fintech payment platform has released an announcement launching its linked-account payments product, LinkPay which enables businesses across Nigeria and South Africa to accept secure, one-click payments directly from a user’s financial account with a pocket-friendly fee.

The platform works by integrating LinkPay alongside Stitch Payouts as well as Financial Data products to enable a complete and convenient linked-account journey, which ensures efficient transactions including verified payments, refunds and withdrawals.

Payment techniques in Africa are in need of thorough evolution as consumers, especially those in South Africa and Nigeria which are the two largest economies in the continent, demand easier, more convenient and faster modes of payment. Another aspect of payment that needs levelling up is security and with the growing amount of payment-related frauds in Nigeria and South Africa, especially those associated with direct bank transactions, users are more security-conscious and value the importance of secure transactions.

Stitch, an API fintech company that helps businesses easily launch, optimise and scale financial products in Africa has set up its linked-account payments product, LinkPay to help solve this problem by providing a platform that ensures a convenient, secure and more efficient payments platform that tokenises user financial accounts to enable one-click payments.

The product possesses a variety of important features including a one-click payment for returning users via a single login after a one-time linkage to their financial accounts. It also provides an option that references account details such as name and identity for verified payments which helps reduce the risk of fraud.

Junaid Dadan, Chief Product Officer at Stitch, said in his comment on the product launch: “With LinkPay, Stitch can enable businesses to offer a more frictionless and secure payments experience, making it easier than ever for their customers to pay and save costs.”

“Combined with Stitch Financial Data and Payouts products, LinkPay offers a truly unique closed-loop linked-account experience for returning users – from fast, seamless onboarding, to one-click payments and payouts,” he continued.

“As a result, businesses will see higher conversion rates, a reduction in costs and ultimately a more convenient experience for their users.”
