The Nokia 7.1 is one of Nokia’s best smartphone products in the mid-range budget category.

The phone is a 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM device with a dual-camera system and capped with a 3060mAh battery; the phone comes with a Snapdragon 630 processor which is suitable for most use cases.

In this article, we will outline some of the problems with this phone and possible solutions.

BATTERY ISSUES

My Nokia 7.1 won’t charge

The Nokia 7.1 is capped with good hardware and software and if in good shape it will charge well. If charging problems are encountered, one should check the charger and also make sure the charging port is in good condition.

My Camon X Pro is charging slowly

If your phone charges slowly you should try to turn off your data and also kill some apps draining the battery in the background, this will also help in prolonging your battery life. The phone’s 3060mAh battery capacity is good enough for heavy usage and the good side is that it charges pretty fast.

OS ISSUES

My Camon X Pro is running slow/freezing

A 4GB RAM device should do well in terms of speed and performance, and the Camon X Pro excels in this category. However, the RAM management and operating system isn’t the elite type so you may experience lagging, freezing and sometimes your phone will reboot on its own. This is easy to fix as this is mostly caused by heavy usage of the phone. Make sure you don’t open a lot of app tabs as this takes a lot of RAM. Also, some deadly background apps like Facebook and Snapchat can also cause lagging in this phone. Also, you should stop the habit of making heavy use of your phone while plugged in.

Unable to install apps from Playstore

Most times, PlayStore tells you the problem. Sometimes it’s due to the fact that you don’t have enough space to install the app. However, you could have space enough to download a particular app but still getting prompts to increase storage space, for example, you have 200mb storage space and want to download a 15mb app but you’re getting a “not enough space” message, well, the solution is that you need more than 500MB storage space to download any app from PlayStore.

What if the problem is not storage-related? It definitely is from PlayStore itself or your phone’s Software (which is rare). Most of the times, the solution is uninstalling updates on PlayStore app. This will take your PlayStore back to the maiden app and will reset all settings whilst clearing the cache. This should fix it. To do this, go to Settings > Apps > PlayStore > Uninstall Updates.

Gaming Problems

Nokia 7.1 is one of Nokia’s best gaming phones. But there’s a problem with playing large games at high graphics as the phone isn’t that strong. If you experience lags, set the game at mid to low graphics and at 30 to 45fps then you’ll get amazing gaming experience.

Also, you might encounter some ghost touches whilst playing games and this may be due to a bad screen protector, bad charger or repeated use of the phone while charging. So get a good screen protector/charge and don’t use your phone while charging.

If you’re using this device and you experience any problem not listed here, you can comment and we’ll give you a fix.

STORAGE ISSUES

My Camon X Pro storage is running low

Have you ever tried receiving a large game or maybe some movies that would need at least 5GB of storage space to fit in but you get the “low storage” message? It can be really annoying but luckily for you, the Nokia 7.1 is packed with 64GB internal memory which should be enough for the average phone user.

However, if there’s a need to free up some memory easily, the phone’s Phone Master app will do that for you. Note: be careful while using this app so as not to delete important files. Also, you can source out useless files yourself through your file manager. Another method of freeing up space is by clearing some app data, however, this will wipe all your saved activities on that particular app.

Lastly, the Nokia 7.1 has a slot for micro SD card, so if you’re the type whom 128GB is too small for, you might want to include a memory card to increase your storage space.

NETWORK ISSUES

Honestly, this phone’s connectivity is top-notch. And if you experience any network problem it probably is from your service provider or a setting/app that is tampering with it.

If you’re finding it hard to connect to the internet make sure you have the correct APN setting from your network provider and also set your phone to the network present in that area be it 2G, 3G or 4G. This will also fix slow internet connection.
