Gamma AI Hits $100M ARR, $2.1B Valuation

The startup Gamma announced it has achieved $100 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) and secured a $2.1 billion valuation following a $68 million Series B funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz. The company builds AI-powered tools that generate presentations, websites, and social-media content earning it the nickname “PowerPoint killer”.

Rapid Growth and Monetisation

Gamma revealed that it serves around 70 million users and reached profitability early on. The Series B round also included a secondary offering of about $20 million to provide liquidity for early employees. With roughly $90 million in total funding and a team of only about 50 employees, Gamma’s efficient structure helped it scale revenue swiftly.

What Makes Gamma Stand Out

Gamma’s platform lets users input a few sentences or an outline, then uses artificial intelligence to craft polished visuals, narratives, and layouts for slides, web pages and posts. It emphasises speed and design automation reducing design-dependency for users and shifting the emphasis from manual formatting to AI-driven creation. This design-forward, AI-first approach positions Gamma against legacy tools like Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Slides.

Market Opportunity and Challenges Ahead

As businesses and creators increasingly adopt visual storytelling, the demand for tools that streamline content production grows. Gamma stands to benefit from this trend, especially in remote/hybrid work environments where teams need rapid output.

What’s Next for Gamma

With fresh funding and a strong monetisation base, Gamma plans to deepen enterprise features, integrate more collaboration and workflow tools, and expand beyond presentations into full visual-content suites. Its next milestones will likely focus on global expansion, enterprise adoption, and maintaining its lead in the AI-powered content creation niche.
