Space Universe Africa: How the new technology company wants to power the future

The Covid-19 pandemic has proven one thing: the future is digital. As the global enterprise ecosystem moves towards digital transformation, with emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), natural language processing (NLP), blockchain, and the most recent metaverse, Space Universe Africa is leveraging these technologies using a unique philosophy called the “Principle of Ground Truth.” Built around this philosophy which states that “if you can break down into smaller pieces, identify each component, and couple it back together in a better way, then you can build practically anything and you’re an innovator” Space Universe Africa™ is the first Nigerian R & D lab with a from-the-ground-up approach to technological innovation— enabling immense possibilities to build and deploy purpose-driven products.

“We have an ambitious dream and we want to do the impossible. We want to build innovations that will power the next layer of technology for human advancement,” says Olatunji Idowu, Founder and CEO of Space Universe Africa. “At the core of what we want to do is our vision to empower the African youth— taking them through a process that reenacts the ideas that birthed the first industrial revolution up until the fifth industrial revolution, through real-time simulations in the immersive space of VR, AR, and metaverse. Our goal is to help the youth understand the challenges faced, materials used, as well as the technologies built during the first to the fifth industrial revolution in simpler ways.” This is what Ground Truth, one of Space Universe Africa’s products, is solving.

1. Ground Truth: Experts agree that (HR) departments have a tedious job of finding talent for startups in the tech ecosystem. A major reason for this challenge is the poor access to information and training resources that can help nurture qualified developers and tech innovators that will drive the next phase of innovation in Africa.

Ground Truth combines the best parts of physical and e-learning to create a fully immersive learning center that bridges the knowledge gap in computer engineering by gamifying learning through Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) technologies. Ground Truth will re-enact developmental revolutions through the power of metaverse— where the African youth can transport themselves into the virtual space to simulate groundbreaking technological innovations being developed in R & D.

2. DevPartners: The International Finance Corporation estimates that there are only 83,000 software developers in Nigeria— a poor figure when you consider that there are almost 630,000 software developers in the American state of California alone, according to a report. Similar to Ground Truth, DevPartners contributes to the growth of technology talents in Africa by working with partners in developer communities around the continent to up-skill developers in a transformative system that positions them as integral and invaluable members of the burgeoning African tech ecosystem.

3. RadioAdSpread and PopAdlink: RadioAdSpread is the first platform to aggregate global radio stations to ease brand advertisement and aims to solve the challenges faced by SMEs and Radio Stations while PopAdlink is an online platform that provides sophisticated tools that advertisers can leverage for traffic and business growth. Both platforms currently serve several customers across the continent.

4. Awamaridi: Awamaridi delves into the magical world of space technology. It is a product of Space Universe Africa’s vision of a world where energy and data are produced and used in sustainable ways. Awamaridi will not only power the next phase of human technological advancement but also reduce the negative impact of today’s technology on the planet.

These offerings emanate from the collective pursuit of Space Universe Africa to solve real challenges in Africa and to build the continent of our dreams. Powered by emerging technologies and a keen sense for the environment, Space Universe Africa™ R & D lab is the missing link to leveraging technology in an eco-friendly manner in Africa.

About Space Universe AfricaLagos-based Space Universe Africa is Africa’s leading technology innovation company utilizing emerging technologies for solving critical issues in Africa’s burgeoning but under-maximized technology ecosystem.
