Nigeria Launches First Indigenous AI Software To Transform Education.

In a historic move for Nigeria’s tech landscape, BildUp, a homegrown technology company, has unveiled the country’s first indigenous Artificial Intelligene (AI) software. The launch event held on April 26, 2025, in Enugu, marked a major milestone not only for the South East but for the entire nation’s innovation space.

A Leap Forward In Educational Technology

BildUp’s AI software aims to rwvolutionize education by offering personalized learning solutions. Chibuike Aguene, CEO of BildUp, stressed the importance of building local technology during his speech at the unveiling. He said, “Our nation cannot be left behind. What we are witnessing today is the first African indigenous breakthrough in AI technology, aimed at redefining and transforming our educational system in Enugu State, the South East, and Nigeria at large.”

The AI software distinguishes itself by its ability to independently assess students, understand their proficiency levels, and adapt to their unique learning styles. This personalized approach addresses the longstanding challenge of one-size-fits-all solutions in education, ensuring that each student receives instruction tailored to their pace and comprehension.

Empowering Students Through AI

Over the past week, students from various schools tested the software and early feedback shows impressive results. Many students reported that the tailored learning approach made lessons more engaging and easier to understand.

What sets BildUp’s solution apart is not just its functionality but also its origin. Aguene proudly emphasized, “It is built here inNigeria and this is the first of its kind.” This innovation showcases Nigeria’s growing capability in the glbal AI race and inspires confidence that local talent can deliver solutions on par with international standards.

A Call For Technological Advancement

BildUp plans to expand the AI platform across Nigeria before moving into other African countries. By doing so, the company hopes to ignite a broader conversation about how indigenous technology can solve local problems more effectively.

Nigeria’s launch of its first indigenous AI software signals a future where education, powered by local innovation, can unlock new opportunities for millions of students.
